He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Lane and Sallie Lane (Ayscue); his siblings, Steve Lane (Sharon), Vernon Lane (Pam), Michael Lane (Angie), Stanley Lane (Sheree), Alton Lane (Rakhsheed), Jerry Lane, Sandra Lane (Kenny) and Claudia Hurdle (David); his wife Cheryl Lane (Robertson); his son Matthew Lane (Jessica); his grandson Griffin Cicalo; his daughter Katie Lane; his friends, Bonnie Vore and Ron; his father-in-law Ross Robertson; and also, Lois Bowman and Mary Jefferies. He was also cherished by his parents, siblings, nieces and nephews.
