He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arnold Sr. and Stephanie Swanson (Velchek); and his siblings, Charles Swanson and Louise Lidy. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lou Swanson (Kingery); his sons, Jim (Lana Swanson) and Peru (Cass County); his granddaughters, Jacquelyn and Lilly; his sister Judy Thompson; and his sister-in-law Marla Sellers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Cass Band program to buy new instruments.
