She was predeceased by: her parents, Chancy James Gelvin and Thelma Ernestine Joyce Gelvin; her husband Alex Omer McClain; her brother Louis Gelvin; and her son Dennis Carl McClain.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth McClain (Marilyn) of Butlerville, Indiana, Mary Ann Borders (David) of Rexville, Helen Farrell of Versailles, Karen McClain (Tommy) of Jefferson and Connie McClain of Madison, Indiana. She is also survived by grandchildren; 2-great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
