With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry J. Taylor of Terre Haute, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 28, 2024 at the age of 91. As we bid Jerry farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jerry is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Taylor and Elizabeth Underwood (Duckworth); his son Jim Taylor; his sister Barbara O'Brien; and his half-brother Ron Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyne Taylor (Davis); his son Don Taylor (Holly); his half-siblings, Terry Goodrich and Steve Taylor; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Taylor and Laura Burnett. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
