She was predeceased by: her parents, Darold D. Barbee and Harriett J. Hoffman Barbee; and her sister Frances Koonce. She is survived by: her children, Kelsey Vaughn and Matthew Vaughn; and her siblings, Matt Barbee (Stacie), Connie James (Jon) and Hannah DeCamp (Quincy).

In lieu of flowers, donations in remembrance of A.J. can be made to Southern Care Hospice.
