It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Pirtle (Sullivan, Indiana), who passed away on August 7, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Melvin Pirtle and Imogene Fleming Pirtle; and his wife Verlene Ridge Pirtle. He is survived by: his children, Paula Drummond (Jim) of Columbus, Kentz Pirtle (Dee-Dee) of New Lebanon, Brian Pirtle (Kathy) of Graysville, Gary Pirtle (Amy) of New Lebanon, John Dean Pirtle (Jenni) of Bluffton, Robin Borgert of Aurich and Germany; his siblings, Jack Pirtle (late Patty) of Farmersburg, Richard Pirtle (Stevie) of New Lebanon and Patty DelFabro (Lou) of Bradenton; his grandchildren, Jeremy Shake (Bobbie), Jason Shake (Carrie), Curtis Drummond (Holly), Nathan Pirtle, McKenzie Pirtle, Jake Pirtle (Meeghan), John Riley Pirtle, Reagan Pirtle, Spencer Pirtle, Benjamin Pirtle, Gabriel Pirtle, Seth Pirtle, John Winston Pirtle and Victor Ian Pirtle; and his close friend Phyllis Sparks. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to American Diabetes Association, Heartland Hospice or the Sullivan High School Athletics Department, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
