He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Mae McGinnis Hopewell; and his daughter Karen Dale. He is survived by: his parents, David Hopewell and Alexandria Hopewell (Humpstead); his son John D Hopewell (Patti) of Kalamazoo; his grandchildren, Heather (Mick) and Francis of Richland; his daughter Riley Paige; and his grandsons, Oliver Yasuea, Kona John and Cass Tikiri.
