He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stockberger and Ova Stockberger (Cullers); his wife Carrie Wagoner Stockberger; his son Maury Stockberger; and his siblings, Richard Stockberger and Susie Sullivan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maria Smith (Thad) of Sullivan and Meagan McQueen (Chris) of Evansville; his sister Virginia Price of Middleberry; his sister-in-law Connie Stockberger of Terre Haute; his grandchildren, Rhett Smith (Haylee), Rhagen O'Neill (Joseph), Makala Shew (Lucas) and Everly McQueen; and his great grandchildren, Ransom Smith and Alaka Shew. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church 105 E Jackson St, Sullivan, IN 47882.
