He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Anne (Robbins) and George W. Phares, Sr.; and his daughter Tara Ashton Phares. He is survived by: his former spouse Corinna Ann DeBaun; his sons, George W. Phares, III of Shelbyville, Indiana, Michael A. Coons of Sistersville and Terry B. Coons (Niki) of Shelbyville, Indiana; his siblings, Pamela K. McGee of Shelbyville, Indiana, Tricia L. Cathcart of Indiana, Charles B. Phares (Teresa) of Clinton, Missouri and Todd A. Phares, Sr. of Missouri; his pet Oscar; and his spouse Laurie Woods. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, one great-granddaughter on the way, several nieces and nephews.
