It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clovis Dale DeWitt Jr. of Shelbyville, Indiana, born in Rushville, Indiana, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clovis Dale DeWitt Sr. and Rosemary DeWitt (Crisman); his daughter Michelle Merritt; and his siblings, Sharon Cobler, Vickie Bowman and Walker DeWitt.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy DeWitt (Woodall); his children, Dale DeWitt of Shelbyville, Michael DeWitt (Leah) of Shelbyville, Megan Gerber of Anderson, Jimmie Stephens (Lisa) of Shelbyville, Clarissa Wurtzbaugh (Brian) of Shelbyville and Anthony "Tyson" Stephens (Lindy) of Shelbyville; and his siblings, Danny DeWitt (Joy) of Shelbyville, Tim DeWitt of Indianapolis, Linda Stump (Dale) of Boggstown, Penny Mullins (Ralph) of Indianapolis and Pam Jones (Alan) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by 14 grand children, and 4 great grand children.
