He is survived by: his wife Joan Topie; his daughter Jennifer Butler (Paul) of Odenton, Maryland; his brother Alex McLain of St. Charles, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Ronan Butler of Odenton, Maryland., Dieter Butler of Odenton, Maryland., Declan Butler of Odenton, Maryland. and Maeve Butler of Odenton, Maryland..
