He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Thevenow and Mary Louise Thevenow (Williams); and his brothers, Jess and Billy Thevenow. He is survived by: his wife Gearleen Thevenow (Davidson); his children, Michael Sawyer of Scottsburg, Indiana, Eric Helton (Sarah) of Scottsburg, Indiana, Kathy Howell of Scottsburg, Indiana, Julie Donovan (Pat) of Scottsburg, Indiana and Debra Smith (Tony) of Scottsburg, Indiana; his sister-in-law Loretta Thevenow of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jacob Howell, Amanda Hopkins, Mackenzie Donovan, Nathan Sawyer, Shyla Yates, Meranda Morris, Haley Beckwith, Carly and Cadee Helton; his great grandchildren, Gracie Hopkins, Tristen, Colton Howell, Myles Sawyer, Molly Yates, Lexi, Bella, Elijah Morris and Evie Fairchild; his nephew Jess Thevenow, Jr.; his great-nephew Rubin Thevenow; and his pet Rabbit.
Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be given to the American Heart Association c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
