He was predeceased by: his parents, Granville Edgar Jones and Annagene Jones (Rose); his children, Amy Marie Cravens and Douglas Ryan Jones; his brothers, Kenneth M. and Gene Jones; his granddaughter Shaylla Michelle Jones; and his stepgranddaughter Simone Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Sue Jones (Long); his stepchildren, Brian Scott Killey (Teresa) of Butlerville, Indiana and Melissa DeAnn Epley (Tony) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; his sister McCutcheon of Henryville, Indiana; and his granddaughter Makenzie Jones. He is also survived by 12 step grandchildren; numerous step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
