He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest C. Abner and Marie Abner (Hayre). He is survived by: his wife Lana June Abner (Wineinger); his daughter Leigh Ann Jackson (Russell) of Rocky Mount; and his sisters, Christine Holt of Fayetteville, Dorothy Ann Surber (Charles) of Columbus, Janice Disbro of Jeffersonville and Judith LeBouef (Charles) of Jeffersonville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
