He was predeceased by: his father Jack Johnson; his brother Michael Johnson; and his grandparents, Glenn Johnson, Loretta Mitchell, Ray and Lydia Roberts.

He is survived by: his mother Lois Johnson (Roberts); and his brothers, Martin Johnson and Mark Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
