It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick M. Carpenter Sr. of Rochester, Indiana, who passed away on March 19, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hans, and Mary Lou Hans, Sr. (Beauchamp); and his siblings, Marsha Cole, Robert Hans, Jr. and Terry Hans.
He is survived by: his sons, Frederick Carpenter, Jr. (Jacki Dollins) of Rochester and Scott; his stepchildren, Jim Lawton (Connie) of Rochester, Melinda Ahlenius (Sam) of Knox and Jeff Lawton (Deb) of Plymouth; and his sister Kathy Damron (Pastor Ed) of West Virginia. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Frederick M. Carpenter, Sr. may be donated to Trinity United Methodist Church, 819 E. Ninth Street, Rochester, IN 46975.
