He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Engle and Jeffie Smith Engle; his wife Imogene Shores Engle; his son Terry Engle; and his siblings, Arnold, Pauline, Ray, Glen, Lucille and Clyde.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Smith of Richmond, Sheila Bryson of Las Vegas, Holly Devers of Richmond, Larry Engle (Eileen) of Virginia, Roger Engle of Tehachapi, Phil Engle of Richmond and Mark Engle (Jennifer) of Richmond. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
