He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Leroy and Dessie Marie Jones (Jenkins); his sons, Thomas Leroy Jones, Jr. and Lawrence Wayne Jones; and his grandson James Andrew Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Jones (Fuller); his children, Darryl Jones (Sharon) and Sarah Lawson (Bobby); his grandchildren, Bobby Jones, Blake Jones, Brooke Robertson (Zach), Brittany Van Hoecke (Elijah), Brian Jones (Sophia), Roz Morrison (Dylan), Cole Martin and Tara Spencer (Craig); and his sister Mary Jane Wiegand. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
At Tom's request, his family donated his body to science through Science Care of Chicago, IL.
