She was predeceased by: her parents, Cloyd McDowell and Vivian Ruth McMahel McDowell; her brother Clyde L. McDowell; and her brothers-in-law, Mac McPherson and James Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Burgess; her son Mark Erik Schull (Christie); her stepsons, Matthew J. W. Burgess and Alexander B. D. Burgess (Sally); her sisters, Karen McPherson (Mac), Kathleen Lamberts (Gundar) and Donna Hamm (Tim); and her siblings-in-law, Marcia Jean Brown (Jim), Mary Jo Crank (Kirk), David Allen Burgess (Karen) and Darrell Bryant (Angela). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
