It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lee Wert Sr. of Richmond, Indiana, born in Greenville, Ohio, who passed away on February 23, 2024, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Rodney Eugene Helmer; his grandmother Alberta Wilt; and his brother Andrea Shaffer. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Frech Wert; his children, Ana-Alicia Alexander (Charles), Jerry Lee Wert II, Keshia Smith (Corey), Rodney Eugene Wert, Paul Corbin and Joseph Corbin (Emma); his grandchildren, Charles Alexander II, David Smith, Derrick Alexander, Jason Smith, Stella Corbin, Natailee Miron, Oliver Corbin and Elizabeth Corbin; and his siblings, Dennis Simons, Bruce Netzley, Ron Helmer and Elicia Pitman. He is also survived by aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many special friends.
