Doris Alexander Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2023, at the age of 90, Doris Alexander of Richmond, Indiana, born in New Paris, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Young and Mary Comer Young; her former husbands, Bill Shaffer and Dick Alexander; her siblings, Carl Young, Ralph Young, Bob Young, Charlie Young, Norma Sparks and Joann Cook; and her children, Billy Shaffer and Terri Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Shaffer, Sherri Shaffer (Rick) and Julie Shaffer-Smith (Bill); her boyfriend John Rigsby; and her close friend Leann Rigsby-Patterson. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 great, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made to VFW Auxiliary Post 1108 or James E. Ryan American Legion Post 322 in honor of "Miss Kitty".
