He was predeceased by: his mother Callie Townsend Ramsey; his siblings, Chester Ramsey, Don Ramsey, Betty Howell, Goldie Kovach and Nellie Veach; and his grandson Derek Ramsey.
He is survived by: his wife Melinda "Linda" Ramsey; his children, Carrie Dillman (Greg), Cris White (Robbie) and David Ramsey (Linda); his grandchildren, Matthew Dillman (LaDawna), Michelle Little (Christopher), Bethany Martin (Jared) and Ryan White; his stepgrandchildren, Heather Lunsford (Brett), Dylan Wright and Christopher Wright; his brother James E. Ramsey; his sister-in-law Peggy Gray; and also Shirley King. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; a host of friends.
