He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard F. Matthews and Martharose Matthews (McClain); and his sister Virginia Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Warner; his son John Edward Matthews (Kandi) of Plymouth, IN; his sister Joann Matthews; his grandchildren, Kyle Alexander Matthews and Cassandra Hendricks (Nate); and his great grandchildren, Maddison Matthews and Aubree Hendricks.
