She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivo Helsel and Mary Helsel (Gross); her daughter Lynnie; her siblings, Norma Helsel Johnson (Robert), Susan Helsel Gibson (Dennis) and Jim Helsel; her daughters, Deborah, Lynnette and Jennifer Wade Garman (Jim); and her grandson Michael Garman.

She is survived by: her husband Dwight Wade; her children, Dennis Wade (Chris) and Lori Rogers (John); her grandchild Leesa Kolter (Ken); her great grandchildren, Gavin and Brian Garman (Chris); her siblings, Shirley Helsel Barber (Earl) and Daniel Helsel (Ina); and also, Michael, David Garman, Ian Rogers (Megan), Jake Rogers (Emily), Ellie, Abby, Aaron Wade (Kristin), Wesley, Waylyn, Dr. Ally Wade Dowie (Donald) and Lynnie.

Due to Covid-19, a church service and memorial will be announced at a later date.

In honoring Elsie, memorial contributions can be made to the Plymouth Church of the Brethren or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
