Elmer D. Stiles Obituary

PLYMOUTH – Elmer D. Stiles of Plymouth passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka following an illness. He was born on July 30, 1938 in Plymouth, IN to the late Elmer M. Stiles and Pearl (Warner) Konkle was 83 years-old at the time of his death.

Elmer lived in Plymouth his entire life. On November 3, 1956 in Plymouth, he married Alice L. Stiles who preceded him in death on August 9, 2020. He enjoyed watching sports and westerns on television, playing euchre, and shooting pool. In his younger years he played softball and coached his son's baseball teams.

Elmer is survived by: two daughters Sandy (Dennis) Pflugshaupt and Deanna Stiles all of Plymouth; three sons DeWayne (Debi) Stiles of Rochester, Greg (Donna) Stiles of Plymouth, and Kelly Stiles of Culver; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; three brothers Don Stiles, Rich Stiles, and Delmas Stiles all of Plymouth; and three sisters Betty Sarna of Plymouth, Wanda Bassett of Connecticut, and Sheryl Fishburn of Plymouth. He is preceded in death by his parent, wife, one son Damon Stiles, and one brother Dennis Ringle.

Private Graveside Services will be held at a later date. The Rannells Funeral Home Hamlet Chapel is in charge of his arrangements and is honored to be entrusted with his care.
