She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wilson and Belle Wilson (Cahler); her husband Carl L. Helvey; and her siblings, Clyde, Junior Wilson and Sarah "Catherine" Guyer.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Witham (Chris) of Burket, IN and Raymond (Traci) of Clayton, NC; and her brothers, Robert Wilson of Knox, Donny Wilson of Knox and Richard Wilson of Koontz Lake. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4- great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
