He was predeceased by: his brother Richard Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Byrd; his children, James Byrd, David Byrd, Ron Byrd, Diana Dull and Karen Byrd Hardin; and his sisters, Mildred and Alice. He is also survived by 7 step- grandchildren and 5 step- great grandchildren.
