He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Thomas and Lois Carmichael (Arnold); and his sister Janet Moore. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Kathy" Thomas (Ryan); his children, Malcolm V. Thomas, Jr. (Angie), Charles Thomas, Sharry Lee Gregory, Dawn Stafford (Jim) and Kathleen White (T. J.); his grandchildren, Chelsea Walker (Jake), Dylan Clephane (Shiann), Jacob Wiggins and Julia Wiggins; his stepgrandchild Lindsay Lovegood; and his great grandchild Boyd Thomas Walker.
