Rosalie Hewitt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 12, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Rosalie Hewitt (Orleans, Indiana), born in Milan, Indiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son David (Donna); her father Carlton Lawson; her daughters, Denise Taylor (Russell) and Lisa Williams (David); her mother Gertrude Lawson Heitmeyer (McMullen); her stepfather Horace Heitmeyer; her brothers, Carlton Lawson (Carly) and Daniel Lawson (Lynelle); and her siblings-in-law, Wade Turner, Jimmy Burgess and Linda Lawson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Carly, Jan and Nancy; her husband Paul Hewitt; her sister-in-law Betty Burgess; her grandchildren, Kenny Orem, Clay Orem, Chloe Golden, Nathan Golden (Kade), Sophia Golden, Georgia, Olivia Hewitt and Drew Hewitt; her great grandchild Samson Golden; her stepchildren, Anna, Sadie, Oliver and Ziggy Taylor; and her nieces and nephews, Connie (Denny Baldwin), Doug Scott (Cindee), Karen Chase (Jeff), Andy Scott (Theresa), Ed Turner, Lori Turner, Todd Lawson (Denise), Curt Lawson (Amanda), Megan Dunn (Charles), Danielle Lawson Miller (Ken), Chris Lawson (Brooke), Bill Parks, Jr. (Michelle), Cindy Collins, Michael Parks, Veronica Foster, Douglas Parks and Jeremy Parks.
But Mom and Dad endured and although I know they suffered privately, they put on a brave face and got on with it. And now our father, Rosie's companion for over 60 years, will do the same. It's been hard to lose someone during the COVID-19 Pandemic because we're not able to grieve or give comfort as we know it.
Donations in Rosie's name can be made to the Ohio County Public Library in honor of Rosie's love of reading.
