He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Squirlock and Elizabeth Squirlock (Semonich); and his brother Paul Squirlock. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Squirlock; his children, Stephen M. Squirlock Jr. and Melissa O'Lenick (CJ); and his sister Karen Martinez (Richard).

“Kathie and I are saddened by the news of Steve's passing. He was the most gentle and generous person I have known. We were privileged to have him in our lives as part of our family since becoming a brother of Sigma Pi. To this day our oldest son Judd, at age 52, still refers to Steve as "Uncle Squirlock". Kathy, Melissa and Stephen, you have our deepest sympathy and condolences. Steve will be missed by many, but especially by you. May God ease your pain and bless you with fond memories.”

We had the good fortune to get to know Steve during our days at Valparaiso University in the late sixties and early seventies. Steve and I were fraternity brothers and roommates in Sigma Pi Fraternity. We share in your sorrow and are praying for all of you.
