He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Hamilton and Elizabeth Hamilton; and his brothers, Richard, Gerald and Vernon Edward.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hamilton (Zimmerman); his children, Robert Hamilton (Joan) of Warren and Patricia Funnell (Byron) of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Jacob Surber (Kimling Lam) of Colorado, Shannon Jenks (Aaron) of Texas, Amanda Schwind (Michael) and Caitlin Spaulding (Ethan) of Kentucky; and his great grandchildren, Elena, Ted Surber, Julian, Nikolai Jenks, Forrest and Jubilee Spaulding.
