He is survived by: his wife Dorothea (Jamison); his children, Kimberly Sheehan (Corey) of Monroeville and Russell Steiner of Fort Wayne; and his grandchildren, Nicholas (Lauren), Conner (Erika) and Abby Sheehan.

Preferred memorials are to the New Haven High School Athletic Department.
