She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Detlaff and Margaret Detlaff (Broderson); her siblings, Robert Detlaff, Ralph Detlaff and Norma Richert; and her brother-in-law Ray Richert.
She is survived by: her spouse Fay Richert; her children, Mark Richert (Anita) of New Haven and Monica Steiner (Glen) of Villa Park, IL; her grandchildren, Alaina (Kevin), Sabrina Richert (George), Kelsey Walz (Michael), Collin (Amy), Kirsten and Kyle Steiner; her great grandchild Ezra Walz; her brothers-in-law, Gay Richert (Lori) of Canada and David Richert of Canada; and her stepmother-in-law Orpha Richert of Canada. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preferred memorials are to Central Lutheran School, New Haven.
