He was predeceased by: his father James Kimmel; his daughter Virginia Sue Kimmel; his siblings, Sadie Eagleson, Robert, Fred and Ed Kimmel; and his parents-in-law, Christopher and Naomi Ruth Reeves (Axton).
He is survived by: his wife Jenny Kimmel (Reeves); his children, William "Buddy" Kimmel (Candi), James C. Kimmel (Peggy), Susan Kimmel and Peggy Webber (Brian); and his grandchildren, Gayle Lynch (Chris), Geoffrey Kimmel (Lindsey), Jennifer Allen, Jackie Kimmel, Julie Kimmel, Brandon Webber (Brayann) and Brooke Uhde (Justin). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #370 of New Harmony.
