He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. McConnell; his children, Amy Elizabeth Nedley and Raymond Arnott McConnell, IV; his children-in-law, Michael Nedley and Sharmila Chaudhuri; his grandchildren, Raymond McConnell, Christopher McConnell, James Nedley, William Nedley, Elizabeth Nedley and Roman McConnell; and his sisters, Judith McConnell and Christine Chaille.
