He was predeceased by: his brothers, Paul J. Ward, Francis N. "Tanny" Ward and Robert L. Ward. He is survived by: his sons, Eric N. Ward (Sarah) of Cambridge, MA, John S. Ward and D. William "Bill" Ward; and his sisters, Mary Schlegelmilch (Indianapolis) and Kathryn "Kathy" Stockdale (Richard) of Adairsville, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Monticello Rotary or to the Society of Indiana Pioneers in Indianapolis.
