He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Diaz and Josefa Diaz (Martinez). He is survived by: his close friend Elvia Lopez of Monticello; his children, Maria Carbajal (Jose) of Monon and Jose Lopez of Monticello; his sisters, Yolanda Diaz (Santiago Mendoza) and Lourdes Diaz of Durango, Mexico; and his grandchildren, Adamari, Adrian and Jose Jr..
