He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Young; his son Wayne E. Young; his parents, Grover Young and Blanche Young; and his sisters, Thelma Whaley, Pauline Breedlove and Wilma Carpenter.
He is survived by: his daughter Shirley Gibson (Ron); his grandchildren, Trad Breedlove (Bethany), Tyler Breedlove (Lauren) and Tristin Bauters (Brent); and his sister Treva Byers (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
