He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Slater and Ella D. Slater (Sonnenburg); his wife Geraldine Kosanovich; and his grandson Chad Quimby (Jessica Henderson Quimby). He is survived by: his children, Allen (Kathy) of Missouri City, TX, Keith (Leo) of Chicago, IL and Peggy Quimby (Terry) of Mishawaka, IN.; his grandchildren, Jason Quimby of Edwardsburg, MI, Mark Slater (Kelsey) of Houston, TX and Alecia Smith (Jason) of San Antonio, TX.; and his great grandchildren, Kinlee Quimby of Mishawaka, IN., Audrey Quimby of Kalamazoo, MI, Caroline Smith, Andrew Smith of San Antonio, TX and Savannah Slater of Houston, TX..
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel (3718 S Michigan St, South Bend, IN 46614). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southlawn United Methodist Church in South Bend.
