He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond D. Simmons, and Catherine Simmons, Sr. (Woodard). He is survived by: his daughters, Lela Simmons of Michigan City, IN and Kyra Simmons of Murfreesboro, TN; and his siblings, I. Q. Williams (Ronnie) of Michigan City, IN, Calvin Simmons of Indianapolis, IN and Vernon Simmons of Saint Paul, MN. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel (418 Washington St, Michigan City, IN 46360). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
