He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Carpenter, and Margaret Carpenter, Sr. (Stafford); and his wife Ethel M. Carpenter (Fuller). He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Carpenter, Luzette Patejdl (Jerry Williamson), Cheryl Baron (Marty) and Diana Souligny (Jack); his siblings, Leslie Carpenter, Jr. (Darlene) and Sandy Fitzer (Butch); his sisters-in-law, Diane Hack and Laurel Burns; his son Timothy Wightman, Sr.; his grandsons, Chadwick Thompson and Timothy Wightman, Jr.; and his siblings, Arlene Bos, Sharon Anderson, Sandy Michaels, Donald Carpenter, Dennis Carpenter and Roger Ward. He is also survived by five grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
