It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amparo Jimenez of Michigan City, Indiana, born in Brownsville, Texas, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Ruben Galaviz; her son Luiz Ruben Pacheco; and her former husband Hipolito Pacheco Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Maria Valladarez; her children, Hipolito Pacheco Jr. (Tracy), Fidel Pacheco, Elizabeth Hubertz (Eric) and Imelda Thomas (Benjamin); her grandchildren, Era'Shaunda Adams (Rod), Erika Skye, Ecko Adams, Sidney Pacheco (Oscar Hidalgo), Laray Thomas, Hipolito Pacheco III (Taylor), Benjamin Thomas II, Cristina Pacheco and Ana Thomas; and her siblings, Fidel Galaviz, Lupe Ochoa (Armando) and Norma Gonzalez (Hector). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
