He was predeceased by: his parents, Algie Rogers and Florence Rogers (Dold); his daughter Linda Rogers; and his brother Deforrest Alan Rogers. He is survived by: his children, Sandy Rogers Kimmel of Marion, Shelly Rogers of Swayzee and Tony W. Rogers, II of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Lyndsay Stratton (Jake) of Indianapolis, Dr. Eric R. Kimmel of Fort Wayne and Tony W. Rogers, III of Indianapolis; his daughter Leslie Dunn; his siblings-in-law, Charles Roth (Toni) of Montreal, Canada and Judy Fitzgerald of Shelbyville; and his close friend Richard Garriott. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
