He was loved and cherished by many people including: his birth mother Kathleen Bardsley (Paul); his father Orval; his daughter Linda; his brother Harold; his sister-in-law Sarah Bardsley; his sister Annabelle; his brother-in-law Jim Hibschman; his sister Betty Heaton; his great grandchildren, Ella Rose Woods, Emersyn Asher Woods and Baby Yates; his wife Marilyn Bardsley; his children, Dr. Brenda Woods (David) and Douglas Paul Bardsley; his grandchildren, Nate Woods (Staci), Amy Bell (Jon), Jessica Yates (Kyle) and Kenneth Woods (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Carter, Addison, Easton Bell, Mackenzie, Amelia Woods, Landon, Mason Yates, Chloe and Baby Woods; his sister Linda Kelly (Joseph); and his sister-in-law Joan Bardsley. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Due to Paul's diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, they made the decision to move back to Marion in 2020.
