She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Dee and Carrie Christine Pickering (Pope); her daughter Dajean Ann Evans; and her siblings, Raymond Pickering, Jr. and Doris J. Sizemore.

She is survived by: her daughter Tracy Crites of Marion; her grandchildren, Kayla Holcomb (Jerry), Jessica Brummett and Edward Jay Brummett; her great grandchild Arya Dorsey; her sister Helen Boaz of Converse; and her half-brother Roger Miller of Marion. She is also survived by four other great-grandchildren.
