It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert L Bergsma (Marion, Indiana), born in Racine, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 16, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bergsma and Johnanna Bergsma (Vlaardingerbroek); and his siblings, Tennie, Lucy, Nellie, Coba, Dirke and John.

He is survived by: his wife Sally; and his children, Daniel Bergsma (Brenda), Randall Bergsma (Sandy), Lisa Huisman (Bob), Timothy Bergsma (Qiaobing), John Bergsma (Dawn), Samantha Phenix (Justin), Steven Bergsma (Kate) and Saralena Bergsma. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
