She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Carey and Mary Carey; her husband Lloyd D. Smith; her son Kent Smith; her siblings, James Weaver and Mary Helen Gray; and her son-in-law Joseph Baxter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Baxter of Sweetser and Lisa Weller (Rod) of Summitville; her grandchildren, Brittney Baxter (Josh Springer) of Indianapolis, Tyler Weller (Michelle) of Alexandria, Kaylee Baxter (Dylan Berg) of Chicago and Carey Michels (Kevin) of Plainfield; her great grandchildren, Caden, Collin Weller and Carson Michels; her daughter Donna Day (Denny) of Jasper; and her sister Aralee Hiatt of Fairmount.
