It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald E. Sands of Marion, Indiana, who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Sands and Dora Sands (Coffelt); his wife Betty Maxine Sharon; his brothers, Harvey Dewaine Sands and Merrill "Dutch" Sands, Sr.; and his stepfather Harold Petit.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen J. Lawson (Barry) of Marion and Bobbie L. Satterwhite (Mark) of Marietta, GA; and his grandchildren, Gordon Lawson, Aaron Satterwhite (Cameron), Shelby Satterwhite and Cally Satterwhite.
