“Like a lighthouse, Hugh was the guide and the beacon of strength and knowledge for so many in so many ways. I first met Hugh in 1991 as a new EMT student. Several years later he was my advanced instructor. Over the next several years I had the honor and privilige of working many night shifts at KDH and several Regattas with Hugh. Hugh taught many. He taught me much. Hugh's passing is a huge loss to the EMS and to the Jefferson County communities. He will be much missed and is much loved.”
