He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Hammon and Rosa L. Hammon (Neff); his wife Dorothy Ann Hammon (Neff); his son John Hammon; his granddaughter Sharon Ulerick; his sisters, Margaret McCartney and Rebecca Fry; and his nephew Michael Fry.
He is survived by: his children, Sondra Ulerick (Lloyd) of Rochester and James Hammon (Kathy Turner) of Logansport; his granddaughters, Susan Cline (Reggie Hall) and Karen Batson (Harry); and his great grandchildren, Damen Batson, Darian Batson and Robert Kite. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
